Image processing
A different image on every page, picked in your spreadsheet
Add a column to your source file named after the image on your template page, then put each page's image in it. LPagery puts that image on the page it creates.
Use images from your media library, image URLs, or one image copied under a new name for each page.
What you get
Every page shows pictures that belong to it
Choose each page's photo in your source file
Put a filename from your media library or an image URL into each row. Before LPagery creates anything, the preview shows the image every page will get, and marks the ones it will download or copy.
Media library files, image URLs and per-page copies
Its own image filename and alt text on every page
Write the alt text and title of your template image with placeholders, like "Plumber in {city}", and put a filename like plumber-in-{city}.jpg in the image column. Each page gets its own copy of the image under that name, with the alt text, title, caption and description filled from its row.
Filename, alt text, title, caption and description per page
The featured image changes with it
LPagery swaps the image wherever your template uses it: in the content, in page builder data and as the featured image. Wherever your theme shows featured images, each page shows its own. In Live Mode, pages that share one image file show it with their own alt text.

How it works
One image column in your source file
- 1
Add an image to your template page
Place an image from your media library on your template page, for example plumber.jpg, in the content or as the featured image.
- 2
Add an image column
Name a column in your source file exactly like the image file, plumber.jpg. Each row then names that page's image: a media library filename, an image URL, or a name with placeholders like plumber-in-{city}.jpg.
- 3
Add placeholders to the image details
Optional: in the Media Library, write the template image's alt text and title with placeholders, like "Plumber in {city}", so LPagery fills them in for every copied or downloaded image.
- 4
Check the preview and create
The Confirm Creation preview shows each page's image next to its row. LPagery then creates the pages, each with its own image.
Live Mode keeps one image file for the whole set
When the image column holds a filename with placeholders, Live Mode keeps the template image as a single file in your media library instead of a copy for every page, and still fills the alt text and title per page. Image URLs are still downloaded. With Virtual Image URLs turned on in Settings, each page also serves the image under its own filename.
Questions about image processing
- Which plan do I need?
Image processing is part of the Extended and Ultimate plans, and it's switched on by default there. You'll find the switch under Settings, in the Generation tab.
- Can LPagery download images from URLs?
Yes. Put the image URL into the row, then open the template image in the Media Library and fill in Download Filename, for example plumber-in-{city}. LPagery downloads each image into your media library under that name, with the alt text, title, caption and description of the template image. Without a Download Filename, the preview shows "Download Filename missing" and LPagery skips that image.
- Which image formats work?
The name of the image column has to end in .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .heic, .gif, .svg or .webp, in lower case, like plumber.jpg. Images downloaded from a URL can be PNG, JPG, HEIC, GIF or WebP.
- Will updates fill my media library with copies?
Before it copies or downloads an image, LPagery looks for an image with the same filename in your media library and uses that one. Running an update again reuses the images from the first run.
- What does Update Metadata do?
It's a checkbox on the template image in the Media Library. When a row names an image that's already in your media library, LPagery leaves its alt text and title as they are. With Update Metadata checked, LPagery fills them from the template image's alt text, title, caption and description, wherever those contain placeholders.
- Do I need the exact filename?
Use the filename as it appears in your media library, like brooklyn-sink.jpg. Upper and lower case don't matter, and LPagery also finds images that WordPress saved with -scaled in the name.
- Does it work with Featured Image from URL (FIFU)?
Yes. With the FIFU plugin active, add the columns lpagery_fifu_url and lpagery_fifu_alt to your source file. LPagery passes each row's URL and alt text to FIFU as that page's featured image. This works for pages in Classic Mode.
