Custom meta data

A unique Google snippet for every page, written once

Put placeholders like {city} into the SEO title and meta description of your template page. LPagery fills them in for every page it creates, together with the URL and any custom field.

Works with Yoast SEO, Rank Math, SEOPress and All in One SEO.

What you get

Every page shows up in Google with its own title and description

Keep the SEO plugin you already use

You write the SEO title, meta description, focus keyword and social fields in your SEO plugin as usual, just with placeholders. LPagery copies them to every page and fills in that page's city and service.

A clean URL for every page

Set the URL pattern once, like {service}-in-{city}, and every page gets its own readable address built from its row.

One URL Slug field on the Create screen

Control status, dates and authors from your spreadsheet

Add columns like lpagery_status, lpagery_publish_date and lpagery_author to your source file, and each page gets its own value. Publish some pages now, keep others as drafts and schedule the rest.

How it works

Set it up once on your template page

  1. 1

Add placeholders to your SEO fields

Open your template page and write the SEO title and meta description with placeholders, like "{service} in {city} | Joe's Plumbing".

  2. 2

    Set the URL pattern

On the Create screen, enter a URL Slug with at least one placeholder, like {service}-in-{city}.

  3. 3

    Create your pages

LPagery copies the template's meta data and custom fields to every page and fills in each placeholder from its row.

Custom fields work the same way

In Classic Mode, the default, every custom field on your template page is copied too, including ACF fields and the data your page builder stores, and LPagery fills the placeholders in each one. In Live Mode, the pages read these fields from the template when someone opens them.

Questions about custom meta data

Which SEO plugins does it work with?

Yoast SEO, Rank Math and SEOPress store their fields as normal post meta, so LPagery copies and fills them like any other field. All in One SEO keeps its data in its own table, and LPagery copies that too.

Do I need a separate column for every meta title?

No. You write the meta title once on the template page with placeholders, and LPagery builds each page's title from its row. You only need extra columns if a page should get text that the placeholders can't produce.

Which plan do I need?

SEO fields and custom fields with placeholders work in every version, including the free plugin. The URL Slug field needs Standard, and per-page columns like lpagery_status, lpagery_publish_date and lpagery_author need Extended.

What happens to the meta data when I update my pages later?

When you run an update, LPagery builds each page again from the template, so changes to the template's SEO fields reach every page. In Live Mode the meta data comes from the template each time a page is opened, so changes show up straight away.

Can I give each page its own image alt text?

Yes. With image processing, each page gets its own copy of the image, and the alt text and title are filled with that page's data.

Give every page its own place in Google

SEO fields with placeholders work in every version of LPagery, including the free plugin.
